This Bar’s Sign for Betsy DeVos Is Getting a Lot of (Confused) Attention

VICE Even when a Facebook post of the chalkboard sign went viral, a lot of people didn’t get the joke. Should we be worried?

Throughout American history, the local public house has been a home for both political discussion and the beginning of larger movements. We at Solo Bar have been fostering this spirit of a neighborhood parliament, arts dive bar, networking, and the celebration of cultural and political activism for a decade now.
As is such, our house is your house to turn ideas into meaningful action and make your voice be heard.

That is why we will open our doors to "10 events/100 days," a nationwide project that focuses on ten different steps to implement real change in the first 100 days of the current presidency.

Join us on Tuesday, January 24th for step number one and fill out and send a card to your person in Congress expressing your concerns about one issue that matters most to you. Cards are on us. Good time, hanging out with friends and like minded folk, and postage are on you.

Event begins at 6PM.

Cards will also be available at Saint John's Bar & Eatery on Capitol Hill.

Join us on Inauguration Day as we turn off the television and channel our energies into something postive; a sign-making party for Saturday's Women's March! Limited poster supplies will be provided but you are encouraged to bring your own, as sharing is caring. 21+
